3 years ago, I went to Ilocos via Cebu Pacific. It was my 1st plane ride EVER! So you can imagine how excited I am. I did not experience any problems. Thank you for the budget airline. I was able to fly to Bohol and Cebu and even to other countries like HK, Bangkok, Singapore and Shanghai. I even recommended CP to my workmates so that they can fly too like me. And they did.
My friends booked me a flight to Palawan via CP. But something came up so I needed to cancel the flight. I immediately called CP Customer Service and was told that refund takes 90 days (3 months). Within the time frame period, I always make a follow up call and email regarding the refund but they always say that it is already in process and being handled by the Accounting Dept. 90 days has passed and I haven't seen any refund on my credit card statement. I managed to calm down since I know that partly, it was my fault - to cancel a booked flight. But then, customers are entitled for a refund if they did not get the service right? To give me peace of mind, I tried to erase this situation.
After 1 year (almost), I saw one transaction debited to my credit card account. Tadah! My CP refund! Grrrr! It took them a year for the refund??!? After this experience, I swore that I'll never fly with them again.
Fast forward. Few days ago, a super close friend asked me if I can book her tickets via CP. I declined her request. She begged me to book her since her card is maxed out. Since she's really a good friend, I agreed.
I'm ready to print out the eticket when suddenly an error message appeared. "Your booking has been cancelled". I immediately called my CC company to check the transaction. OMG! It was approved! I'm really upset/frustrated since the amount is so big! It's about P14k! Can you imagine? They approved the amount but it is not even confirmed. I called them about it and was advised that reversal takes 10 working days. (yung una sabi nila 90 days lang tapos tumagal ng 1 year eh, eto pa kaya? Goodluck sakin!) Tsk tsk tsk!
This year, I started to fly with PAL when I revisted Cebu and took a break in Boracay. I hope I won't experience the same with PAL.
I hope CP will take their word regarding reversal.

Hmmmm, sana ma-reverse na, sayang naman yun, 14 k din yun ah!
that's a lot of money. i hope it will work out smoothly this time. one year is too long to get a refund.
tsktsktsk.. ang hassle nga. hays! My sister read a blog entry from someone who told a story of how they were treated by CP management when they complained kasi their dog died sa cargo nila. Tsktsktsk. I hope they do straighten up their act.
